For not...or is that nought?

Ummm, like yep.  My a.m. was sorta shot to hell more or less.  I got my buns out of bed early, cuz according to my lovely place of biz, 

3 wks ago or there abouts, they emailed everyone and told them they were having a Cultural Forum (whatever the hell that is) and it was mandatory.  Welp, I figured, the only day I had available was today more or less, so I signed up.  Long story short, I found out Sat. at work that it is not mandatory and all the higher-ups were worried, cuz they didn't think they would have enuf parking or building space for >1000 employees that had signed up (now r'mber this was s'posed to be mandatory) at each time(s) the meeting(s) were to take place during this month.  I figured WTH?  I mean it is money, they are paying me for time, so whatever, guess I will go as planned.  On my way down the 15, there were 2 accidents, that traffic was stopped for other than the usual crap.  One pretty bad accident was a rollover on the other side of the freeway, and of course, this being Calif. and all, peeps had to slow down and rubberneck. 

Like WTF people get your asses moving!  Some of us people have somewhere to be damn it anyways!  I finally get thru the stop/go sludge of the early rush hr traffic only to find that I can't turn left into this church (I guess our bldg is behind a church.  Yep, I have never had the need/desire to visit this bldg I knew nothing about), at the very least they had hired a private co. to help direct said traffic.  So I have to drive down more south on Black Mt Rd before I can make a decent/somewhat safe U-turn.  Already I figured I shoulda stayed in bed, ya know?  Get to the church, turn in, the private traffic guy states that there p'bly isn't anymore parking spots.  Lo and behold he is right.  Grrrrr..........  Let me put it this way, I'm still putting in time spent under my eduational hrs.  It was a big, ridiculous waste of my time and gas, so yeah, I'm getting paid for it.

Done with this shit.  Now what?  I wanted to stop by REI since I was down south, but they don't open for another hr or so.  I find a Starbucks off the freeway, and just plant it for a bit.  Hey I get free WiFi on my iphone, so I ain't complaining.  Waste some time, figure traffic should be better.  Nope!  Stop and go for a bit til I hit the 52.  Then it is coast til I get to the store.  Needless to say, other than my cool Salomons I picked up to take the place of my Innov8's (they are on BO hell from the manufacturer doncha know) the a.m. would hae been a total bust.  The shoes saved part of the a.m., but not the "pretending" to sleep-in til 6:30 or even 7:00 if I'm lucky part. 

Oh well, silver lining and all that I s'pose.
