I think if I was to pick a favorite season out here in Cali, it would have to be fall. Now don't get me wrong we definitely don't have the great fall weather that they do back east. Ya know, leaves turning colors, crispness in the air, so forth and so on. Tho we do have our own little shift. Right now our shift is from 100 down to the low 90's. Ahhh, yes, you can almost see your breath at times, it is so cool. We are somewhat cooling down at nite, so I can at least cuddle under a light blanket at about 3a.m. or so. Sometimes the weather by Halloween is actually in the low 80's, almost wool coat weather if I must say so.
Other than the weather shifts, including our lovely Santa Ana winds we get. I start to cook a little bit more in the fall. I'm not sure why, but maybe it is a subconscious thing where I need to make sure I have some cooking skills left prior to Turkey Day and Christmas, just in case I'm offered up to make something. I glean new recipes off the web and on TV. I take mental notes from peeps at work and friends when they are gabbing about something that they make up that is Deeelish! Monday I made chicken tostadas and instead of going thru all of the prep work of making Pico De Gallo (basically that is what it was), I bought mine. They were yummy! 4 stars
Tonite it's another new dish with a side of stuffed mushrooms (no not magic mushrooms silly peeps).
Did I already say that I ♥ fall??
