rounding the corner

Wow!  I really can't believe that this coming Saturday will be Christmas.  Like...huuuh?  Last week I thought there were 2 more weeks until D-Day.  Hmmmm, guess not.  I still have not finished shopping.  Basically little things, and a couple of white elephant gifts for a girl's lunch that I have planned this week, but still........*yawn*

Yep, tired and sore this morning.  Hobbles decided to wake me up and 0430, so she got the cage for that nonsense.  She gets all tweaked, so it really isn't her fault.  You see I usually get up around that time to choke back a little coffee and head out for a run before getting ready for work and heading out.  The last 2 days I was there (up, coffee swiggin, run, work), so she just assumed that I was ready to get up and give her some love is all.

I know I'm sore from work today.  The last couple of days at work were nonstop for the most part.  Plus, I had a big patient on both of my shifts, on sedation and a paralytic, so moving him around was fun to say the least.   I also had the wonderful privilege to work with Dr. Eeyore (refer to this post).  He frustrated me and brought me into his negative energy my 1st day on.  Grrrrr!!  Anyhoooo, time to recover for a couple then back at it again.

I want to send a yell out to all the new grads.  Whooohooo you did it!!  Nurse XY most xcellent job my man.  You will have those days in nursing where you wonder "why did I ever pick this profession?" and days that you will love and say...."YES!"  To all my peeps that are still going thru nursing school.  Yay!  You made it thru another semester.  YOU CAN DO IT!!

KO- thinking it's time to lace up and work out the kinks.  Splash around in some puddles, dance a little in the rain.  Yes, I said RAIN!  We finally got what I consider Christmasy weather here in So. Ca.  Time to enjoy it.
