You're probably wondering why I'm thinking of blogging whilst I run. Well for 1 thing, it is something to get my mind off little tweaks, groans, moans from my bod at that ungodly hour of the day, and just cuz. I don't take my iPod out early in the a.m. or anytime when it is dark. I have my pepper spray more for 4-legged animals than 2-legged animals clutched in my gloved digits.
Don't know if I could spray it even if I had to due to the cold digit factor and the gloves on said digits. I would definitely give it the old college try before being eaten alive though.
Ok, now I remember what my point is...yeah, cool. Anyhow, point being is that some peeps at work are astounded about my running so early and in the dark even. Now if I lived in Alaska that would be different 6 mos out of the year, but I am not so blessed, so I get to take my early morning darkness, shadows, creatures and just deal.
I love the guy at the office

I've seen some pretty cool stuff recently on my very early runs. Two shooting stars on one morning run. Coyote here and there running through neighborhoods. Plus I love to run by some homes and the dogs start going beserk...love it! Mostly it is quiet and that is good too.
I know your intentions are well and good. Believe me I do, but please try to stiffle the gruesome rape/murder stories, K? For heaven's sake I've worked in trauma and I've worked ICU for almost a good decade more or less, and of course, home health was pretty traumatic in its own right.
Plus, I"m a chick and I don't live under a frickin rock. I do know the risks, but I guess my passion for my running and desire to compete trump those so-called risks that you keep telling me about.
Now the thing is, who is going to light a fire under my ass so I get up tomorrow and do this all over again?
LOL, love your pictures!
