Anyhow, back to the task at hand. As you have noticed I have had a somewhat dire outlook in August. Yes,, the cartoons, the quote (as of today, which I thought was pretty comical by the way), and just my recent posts. August has been a trying month to say the least, but it is almost over...yay! Tho, when Sept. 1 hits my oldest son will be taking a flight from SC to the UK to Germany, then to Qatar which is in Iraq.
No, I'm not happy about that, but according to T it is the Desert Resort for all military personnel. Like I really hope you are giving the me the true scoop my son. Tho, just recently according to him, his base was on lock-down due to some goober US civilian cutting a major line to hardware (puters) on the base down there. Being a mom, I know I will worry on/off til he is back in the states come January sometime. It's just me, so if I get a little squirrely on/off thru the oncoming months you will know why.
My running has been going lets say. I actually had planned to take my double that is scheduled for Fri. and do it today. Tho, considering the trail marathon
that I am contemplating in Nov., I added some strenuous or lets just say gut-wrenching hill workouts this a.m. We are HOT now. Once again summer has decided to show it ugly self in the form of August weather here in So. CA. I went out (before 8 a.m. mind you) and hit it. I was drenched in sweat after 5min into my run. Now our humidity index is high lately, thunder clouds, spits of rain, but I haven't seen the thunder activity per se. I ran for about 15min.. then hit the trail hills. I did the hills ok, but pretty much ran out of ooomph after the fact, and had to do a run/walk the rest of the way in. Shiiiiiiizzzzles!!! Long story short, no double today. It is still frickin hot out and I work tomorrow, so which means an early wake-up call.
Maybe Sat. for my double? Fri when my double is actually scheduled is out. My main man has a B-Day and I have plans in the afternoon to p.m. Soooo we shall see........
I really hope I can get my shit together, cuz I will need it for my upcoming race/event.
