Tho, right now our AC is on. Got a little warm up here today.
Fortunately our summer has been mild so far *pounding on wood, like seriously pounding* .
Our wonderful neighbors that live towards the back of us and on the hill more or less above us, tho of course, in the same hood doncha know? Are craptacular at best. They have a pool, and lounge at said pool at all differing times of the day. The dude and dudette also have an outdoor sound system that is p'bly Dolby based and then some. It puts IMAX theatres to shame when they have their satellite sound system going. Being on a hill, the noise travels far and wide. We found this out a couple of summers ago, when we called the police dept. to report noise issues that were still going on at 3 frickin a.m., yes, repeat 3 FRICKIN A.M.! The dispatch person, said, "oh yeah, we had reports from several neighborhoods around yours."
What our lovely, so considerate neighbors love to do during the summer months is turn up their sound system through the greater part of the twilight hours and play their harmonicas, do karoake, have bands perform (all I can say is they must have one helluva a yard), and just be overall obnoxious.
So, those of us who have to work the next day or are just trying to sleep, ummmm, CAN'T! This happened last nite to us. We closed our window, for a bit, which is why I"m thankful for the moderate temps lately, cuz we can close our bedroom slider and not suffocate or sweat to death. It doesn't cut out all the noise, but enuf. This afternoon they are at it again. I swear these people are hearty individuals. All I can say, is hello skin cancer and liver disease.....maybe sooner than later, eh? Yes, we thought about launching rotten eggs from our balcony in their local direction, or yelling---tho they wouldn't hear us over their usual ruckus. I say cirrhosis, skin CA and/or a move for them is definitely in order after more than a few summers of them.
K, gonna continue to just hang, and really hope that my neighbors don't disturb my needed sleep tonite
In a word - sniper fire.
