Lost and a little sunscreen pleeez :-))

Ok, as you know I"m a frickin Lost maniac.  No, no posters and I don't have my backyard as a makeshift isle setting, tho that would be pretty damn cool.  I have been faithful from the get go with this show.  Even tho, they did a couple of seasons where you had 3 new shows and then about 4 weeks of nada, then another 3 new shows, etc., etc.  That was the worst!  Anyhow, it is a Lost weekend.
I'm excited and M might cry cuz he will have no more Lost to watch, but hey, it should be interesting to see how they wrap things up.  Tonite is the Pilot show, yeah I'm watching it to see if there is just anything that might add to something now or maybe something I forgot.  That is more likely the forgetting, no not because of my stellar age bracket *ahem*, but the fact there is a whole helluva alot to forget since they like  to intertwine their storylines and then some.  Anyhoooo, you know what I will be fixated on the next couple of evenings.

For the sunscreen part, hey island life goes hand in hand with this post, doncha think?  I have tried alot of sunscreens out there for my sport.  Right now, I've gone back to my running roots.  A period of time I ordered the #3 combo please- triathlon.  I've been badly sun burned before, very badly.  At one time I p'bly should've been in the ER for 2nd-3rd degree burns.  Soooo, as I grew up I finally heeded my mom's advice and started to use sunscreen.  Ok, sport's sunscreen is what I basically use when sweating like crazy.  For daily sunscreen I switch between Aveeno and Kinerase (both are moisturizer/sunscreen mix).  My 2 saving graces for sport's sunscreens is K2 for my face/neck and Kinesys spray for my bod that is exposed.

I also like Blue Lizard tho at times it is hard to find around here.  All have an SPF great than 30.  I've tried all different kinds of sunscreens, from Coppertone Sport, Neutrogena, Banana Boat, All Terrain, Kiss My Face...on and on.  Most of the ones mentioned either don't protect like they state or they cause serious eye issues while out running due to sweating into my eyeballs.  I have not had a problem with K2 as far as sweat and eye irritation goes.  Kinesys seems to stay put also during a long ass, sweat-inducing run.

Brands to shy away from are (this is my opinion only) Bull Frog- absolute worse sunscreen on the market.  Gets in the eyes, sweats off, doesn't protect after 30min of exercise.  Coppertone Dry Spray- the protection factor is ok, but when it mixes with sweat it definitely stains your workout clothes, ick!!  Neutrogena I've had hits and misses with.  Unfortunately they seem to change the formulation of their product yearly or more often, so I haven't gone back after a year or so ago.

Another thing to remember is most sunscreens only have a shelf life of a year to a year and a 1/2.  Most aren't made with paraben anymore, which is a quasi-preservative and estrogen inducing chemical (hmmmm), that most peeps are allergic to, hence the "we are not made with paraben" disclaimer on your current sunscreen product.

K, that is my low down on sunscreen.  Hoooraaah!>>>>for Lost!!
