For one, my lovely, beautiful, furry creatures decided to tag team me again last nite. Yeah, like whaatever already! I was pretty much awake from midnite til when I got out of bed at 4ish *yawn.* Luv my cats, but they are pushing their limits lately. No. No scatmat yet, but I have it on BO from Amazon.
Went back for a sorta, kinda snooze at 9ish and got my ass out the door for my run sometime between 9:30 and 10:00 . Then, I came back to call dentist and doctor's offices. Ya for me, NOT! The dentist wasn't too painful of a call and call back. Tho, two of the doctors I will have to wait for insurance auth. to actually go in for said appointments. Insurance, what a farce, but again that is fodder for another blog post I imagine. Least we have some sort of insurance I guess. Should be thankful for that. I requested added labs to my lab draw, which was due in mid-March mind you, but for some odd reason I haven't gone just yet. I will say my PMD is da bomb! I really like him and respect him. Every time I go in, he gives me as much time as I need. Tho, now I understand why I sometimes have to wait up to an hour or so to see him, cuz he gives all his patients this courtesy. Kudos to him!! Not many docs do that anymore, and I have one who does. So, I will just have to cool my jets and take a book to the office when I see him.
Anyhow, he knows that I'm an RN, so when I call for specific things such as an add-on to my labs, usually there is no problem. There wasn't, thankfully. Now I'm just waiting to hear from the other 2 docs about my auths. One is mine and one is my daughter's, so just make note I'm not into seeing my docs unless I have to. Hey, I work around doctors (not mine, at least most of the time thankfully) all the time, enuf already is what I say. I have to admit the call to my daughter's opthamologist was interesting and I'm sure all of you have been there and done this one a few times or more.
Me- ummm, ya like I would like to resched my daughter's appt that you guys called to cancel recently. Of course DOB, etc. given.
Them- weell lets see, you still need authorization from your PCP to see us.
Me- I was told by my PCP office that since this was a "medical" condition you needed no authorization code, number, designer wear payments, 1st born (no problemo there), etc.
Them- Yes, we do need auth regardless per blah-blah-blah from said insurance co.
Me- I guess it really doesn't matter that the last person I talked to in your ofc. stated that I only needed auth for what is considered "elective" visits?
Well that fell on deaf ears. So, I get back on the phone and leave a voicemail for the referral dept at my daughter's PCP ofc. I give them the number of said opth., so hopefully they call directly, which is pretty much wishful thinking at this point in time.

How much you want to bet that I will get a call back from one or both of the doctor's offices once I decide to hit the couch for a nap today. My greenbacks are definitely on that one.
Yeah, crazy is as crazy does. Go figure.
