Ok, I give....well sorta

I keep getting little jabs from friends who know that I pretty much melted on Day 3 of my Wellness Cleanse.  As I've said in a prior post, tis was not total wellness for this girl.  I know most my friends are teasing by nature, we all do that, but then again, I want them to know that I will stick to my guns
when it is all out warfare and this wasn't it.

Tho, I do want all of you to know that I may not be following this Cleanse thing to the absolute letter, I'm still following it.  I've decided I can eat fowl (staying away from beef for a bit)
maybe not daily, but at least twice/wk if I so need to (by the way chickens are on two legs last time I checked and not four....um, never mind), I'm still trying to stay away from most gluten containing products, I have had no chocolate in the last 5 days (SIGH!), restricting sugar as I can and am able to tolerate as per my activity level dictates.  My downfalls more or less have been the need for caffeine or lets just say the need to stay alert past 2 p.m. daily and the need to get rid of the frickin headaches.   I also have partaken in a little vino with my soy hamburger, rice pasta feast last nite, yum!  Actually it was quite tasty, which was a little surprising to me.

I think that is part of this whole thing.  To test out new waters
more or less.  To live a vegetarian quasi-lifestyle and who knows I may keep it...sorta.  To be adventurous, test yourself whether it is for 6hrs or the entire 3wks.  Either way, I have gotten something out of it.  I still have some time to go, but I have a feeling it will adhere to my lifestyle.  I sorta like soy meat products, specifically from Trader Joes mind you.  I also am getting in my 5of5/day of veggis/fruits, and no, I'm not counting wine my peeps.  Cut me a little slack, will ya?  Tho, that is a very good idea.  Thank you very much for that one.

I may not be the most healthful eater out there by far, but I'm trying my best here.  I try to think of food as energy, tho at times food is great comfort, family and fun.  Is that really so wrong as long as we don't abuse our intake too much?  Naw, I think not.  ENJOY!!  That's what life is really about in the long run.  Yes, yes it is my peeps!

  1. Hell, I'm amazed you could manage to make it to day 3! Me, I would have been 3 hours in and said oh, fuck it, hand me that donut. :-)
