smiles everyone!

I have actually been told at work or have been asked, "why are you so happy?"  "Do you realize you smile too much?",  and the most coveted one, "don't laugh someone is dying."

Ya know, what?...go fly a fucking kite is what I think, oh and I've pretty much said it once or twice.  Believe me, I'm not cold hearted.  I show respect and all, but really....sometimes you have to smile or cry and I choose the smiling more times than the other.

I get it, sorta anyways.  I have a mouth full of teeth, and they are perfect,

cept when I drink too much red wine.  I have a short upper lip, which leads to smiling and mouth breathing.  I also would rather smile than play Eeyore or pouty puss or some other such animated character or person that we all seem to encounter at one time or another.

I know, you're thinking, well shit!  Her postings and such.  Yes, I am a little cynical, never stated I wasn't and I do have a bitchy side, tho it isn't daily, but it can rear it's ugly head every now and again.  Heaven help those that are in my way when the "B" occurs.

Ya know, life at times is frickin difficult, preposterous and just so lame that you have to laugh or why even try?  I work in an area that is hard to deal with.  We see ODs, elderly peeps where their fams keep them alive for selfish purposes and ??  Lots more that I can't even begin to describe or tell.  So, if I have a freakishly strange sense of humor at work and my coworkers do too...leave us alone for God's sake!  We are trying to deal with a situation or peeps that are very difficult and sometimes not dealable (like is that a word or what?)

Hey, it's my job man, but I deal with life and death each and every time I'm there.  So if I'm smiling call it a day and smile with me.

  1. Amen, girlfriend! Sometimes I get the same shit - like, how can I joke or laugh about The Cancer? Well because if I were actually serious about it all the time, I'd go insane, or shoot myself. I think laughing at crap is a better solution. Sometimes I tell myself I'm laughing at God. :-)
