to a tropical paradise that is? I feel the need to get away. Yeah, I've been to Maui in Feb., and to tell ya the truth, I loved it! Rainy season or not. We only had 2 nice beach days while we were there a couple of yrs back, but ya know, Maui/Hawaii is just what it is. What is you ask? Good question. It is a beautiful, tropical, get away. The rainy season isn't really cold per-se. You can run in it and still get a good sweat going after about lets say.... 1-2min We also hiked down Haleakala, where we almost froze too death in early Feb. I'm thinking the thermo reading for the pit of the volcano
was 35-42 degrees and we were in shorts, but at the very least we had fleece jackets on.
Maui is unique in the very essence of being tropical/humid on one side of the island and more dry, cooler on the other side, so I have heard. We tried to get to the other side more or less, but it is a two lane highway and it was stormin like Norman out there.
Trees were down, etc. We turned around about 1/2 way through.
I'm ready to go back.
